dynamicGraphicsAbsolutePositionThreshold
Getter
The world-space coordinate magnitude, in meters, below which graphics produced for elements modified during this scope encode their vertex positions as absolute float32 coordinates.
Encoding absolute positions is more performant, but loses precision for coordinates of large magnitude. When an element's
graphics are centered at or beyond this threshold from the coordinate system origin (for example, when a project is
georeferenced far from the origin) the graphics instead use per-element rtcCenter centering, which preserves precision
(avoiding artifacts like jagged curves) at a small performance cost.
Increase this value to favor performance (Number.POSITIVE_INFINITY always uses absolute positions). Decrease it (down to
zero, which always uses rtcCenter centering) to favor precision. Negative values are clamped to zero; non-finite values
other than Number.POSITIVE_INFINITY are ignored.
This value is read once per model, when the first element in that model is modified during the scope. Set it before making edits to ensure it takes effect; changes made afterward do not apply to a model until the scope is exited and re-entered.
Defaults to 10000 (10 kilometers).
